Double Bay Public School is a small, close-knit, state government-funded school. Not being in a 'special needs' area, it requires more for those enhanced teaching resources that larger, privately-resourced schools in the region can access.

Wonderfund
The Kids’ Wonderfund is the total of all funds we collect through our events and donations. These funds are directed solely to the needs of the school.
The Building Fund is a designated gift recipient (DGR), authorised by the Australian Tax Office, meaning your donations can form part of the deductions on your annual tax return.
Donations to the Resources Fund are not tax-deductible, but provide much needed classroom products and services. For example, numeracy and literacy materials, language courses and equipment subsidies.
Whichever way you contribute, your gift to the Kids Wonderfund can:
- be a one-off contribution;
- unfold over three, six, 12 or 24 months; or
- form part of an estate.
However you choose, your gifts are used solely for the advancement of our children’s education at Double Bay Public School through ongoing improvements, better resources and upgrades to its buildings and innovative learning spaces.
2020 and beyond
- Modernise STEM: enhance our Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics facilities.
- New technology: upgrade teaching facilities, including coding, robotics, plus the traditional scientific principles.
- Innovative learning spaces: transform the Library in to a modern Knowledge Resource Centre that enhances collaboration and uses creative student-research applications that coordinate learning experiences, guided by our teachers.
- Enhance the safety and amenity of the school.
Wonderfund achievements
Wonderfund contributions provide extended resources that all our children
benefit from. From working in a smaller maths or literacy group, playing under the sunshade, using an iPad, or reading books, they are benefiting from the generosity and support of our school community.
