Before and After School Activities
Double Bay Public School P&C organises a range of specialised activities that your child can do before or after school. We aim to promote and enhance skill development among the younger and older children.
Activities are organised through professional companies or organisations who are regularly assessed by the P&C and approved by the school. Some activities have more than one teacher to accommodate the differing needs of younger and older students.
All programs run for eight weeks per term, generally beginning the second week of term and concluding the second-last week of term.
- Morning activities start at 7.55am, unless otherwise advised.
- Afternoon activities run from 3.05pm to 4.05pm or 4:35pm.

Things to remember
Behaviour
Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children. If a child engages in disruptive behaviour, the parent may be asked to attend the activity to supervise their child or, in certain circumstances, the child’s registration may be cancelled.
Before and after the activity
Activities are supervised and coordinated with the School, ensuring children go directly from class to their activity.
If your child attends DBOOSH, they will be escorted from their afternoon activity to DBOOSH.
Attendance
- For early morning activities, children must be signed in by their parent or guardian. They cannot attend without this.
- If your child will not be attending an activity, contact the school office on 9363 3456.
- No sign-outs are permitted in Steyne Park.
- Unless you have provided precise permission, your child must be signed out. The sign-out sheets are available outside the main hall, with a staff member from the school.
- No parent is to take another child home without consent, written or by phone to the school office.
